Cognizant included in Fortune Magazine's Fortune 1000

Technology, consulting and business process services provider Cognizant has been included among Fortune Magazine's Fortune 1000 companies, the prestigious listing of America's 1000 largest companies.

With $2.136 billion in revenue in 2007, Cognizant entered the Fortune 1000 at number 859. Founded in 1994, the technology and consulting firm crossed the first billion threshold in 2006. In the last couple of years, Cognizant was also named to the S&P 500 companies, the Forbes Global 2000, the Forbes Fastest-Growing Tech Companies, BusinessWeek's Top 50 Performers, and the Fortune 100 Fastest Growing companies for five years in a row.

On top of that, the company was also named America's Second Most Shareholder-friendly Company in the Computer Services and IT Consulting Industry by the Institutional Investor Magazine.
