Stephen Flynn has been named new COO of Proginet Corporation, a US-based company that provides multi-platform file transfer solutions. Flynn will report to the company’s president and CEO Sandy Weil.

Before joining Proginet, Flynn served as managing director for global markets system integration at BearingPoint. He moved there from GoldenSource Corporation, a software provider of enterprise data management solutions, where he was senior vice president.

Prior to holding these positions, Flynn spent 25 years at Accenture, where he was made partner in 1995. He stayed at the IT consultancy until 2003.

Proginet president and CEO Sandy Weil said: “I've known him for more than 15 years and we spent at least a decade working closely together at Accenture. He is an executive of absolutely the highest caliber and has precisely the background and skill set required to help transform Proginet into a high-performance organization. We are lucky to have him on board.”
