London Business School has announced the addtion of a groundbreaking new management degree to its existing range of programs. The new Masters in Management program will be available to students from around the world in August 2009.

The London Business School Masters in Management will be attractive to students who wish to expand their career choices and fast-track their careers in business. The program is designed to address present day needs of students and recruiters in the world of business and management, as well as to equip the students with both business theory and practical skills that they need to stay competitive on the market.

The Masters in Management program will be useful to recent graduates with little work experience as well as those who earned their undergraduate degree in a discipline unrelated to business or management.

"This launch is an exciting move for the School. It builds upon our reputation as a dynamic and entrepreneurial organisation, adept at taking advantage of emerging opportunities. We are entering this market because it gives us access to a new pool of outstandingly talented, high calibre men and women. London Business School can help them to realise their potential better than anybody else," said London Business School Dean Robin Buchanan.

Julian Birkinshaw, Deputy Dean of Programmes, added: "During consultation, it became apparent that recruiters who offered early graduate and entry-level opportunities wanted to hire students from this type of programme. We have listened to those needs and developed a programme which marries strong technical skills with a sense of perspective. On graduation, employers will be guaranteed bright, ready-to-work students - it is this that sets our Masters in Management programme apart from all others in the market."
